I relocated to this small town, in the middle of the Tonto National Forest, after living in the Phoenix metro area for 13 years, to raise my children in the country. I was the first real estate licensee in Young to be a Realtor, the first and only to ever participate in the Central Arizona Board of Realtors, and the first Realtor to advertise Young, AZ, properties outside of Young. I joined the Scottsdale Board of Realtors and Arizona Regional MLS over 20 years ago in order to give my listings additional exposure. Today, I am the only real estate licensee in Young, AZ, who participates in multiple MLSs, and whose listings get uploaded to approximately 2 dozen Internet-based real estate search engines.I also enjoy hiking and bicycling in the forest. In 2008 I started the local garden club wherein we take turns hosting other gardeners who visit our yards and share ideas about gardening. I have served as a Gila County Planning and Zoning Commissioner and am still an officer with the Young Cemetery Board. In 2010, I led the local Master Gardeners in completion of a Community Challenge Grant which we obtained from the Arizona State Forestry Division to landscape our local cemetery and build an educational kiosk to teach its visitors about the specific climate and soil characteristics of this area.
