After earning a degree from The University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, Katie worked in education, which eventually brought her to Arizona where she fell in love with the sunshine, lifestyle, and palpable energy of the state. After establishing roots in the area, Katie continued to work in education, raised four children, and became an advocate for the elderly as well as individuals with Asperger’s, helping them find necessary services and resources.
